Nashville has charm, hospitality, and now the taste of happiness in a cup – Bubble Love! Meet Anna Fields, the woman behind the vibrant bubble tea haven nestled in the heart of the Nashville Farmers Market.
Anna’s journey began overseas. After spending nine years in China and working with children with disabilities, she returned to the states with her family. Choosing Nashville as her home, Anna realized “Music City” was overflowing with southern charm and hospitality, but something was missing. It was the refreshing and flavorful bubble tea Anna had grown to love while abroad.
Driven by the desire to share her love, Anna started experimenting. Her goal was clear – “spread love and positivi-tea.’ Her thoughtfully curated and vibrant flavors laid the foundation. Anna thought of Bubble Love as not just a catchy name but also a mission statement.
With Bubble Love beginning to thrive, Anna’s ambitions grew too. She admits, “Nobody starts a business in a vacuum, right. You have people who are encouraging you, people who are supporting you, giving you ideas, backing up those ideas, helping you eliminate the bad ideas.”
Inspired by the encouragement of NBIC’s CEO, Angela Crane-Jones, Anna took the NBIC Biz Quiz. This led her to the Framework course, which seemed to arrive at the perfect time. Not only did she qualify for a scholarship, but she also received the NSBRF (Nashville Small Business Recovery Fund) grant. This support was a financial boost for her growing business! “Learning without breaking the bank” was Anna’s goal, and NBIC delivered.
NBIC quickly equipped Anna to navigate the growth of Bubble Love through workshops, mentorships, business education, and networking opportunities. But what truly resonated with Anna was NBIC’s supportive community. She emphasized, “Having professionals around me who were not going to judge me for not knowing anything but instead excited to see me grow,” was a defining moment for her.
NBIC’s Framework class proved pivotal. “It was a really great experience to help me think through the details of my business, to really consider why I started this business, and figure out – alongside the help of professionals – how to scale my business,” Anna said.
Anna’s success story is not only a powerful testament to following your dreams but the power of a supportive community. Today, Bubble Love boasts eight employees and a brand new location at the Factory at Franklin, proving that Anna’s journey is far from over.
